I'm going to Iceland !!
Very excited about 4 day trip leaving Sunday 22nd. My plan is to shoot mainly around the Jokulsarlon Glacier to build up a body of work for an exhibition.
I'm looking at very long days as dawn is around 5:15am and dusk around 10pm. if I'm very lucky with the weather I may even see the northern lights from midnight onwards.
will try and update the blog when I'm there.

Saturday, 31 March 2012
I currently have images running as ads in a number of up market interiors magazines. Plus today (31st March) in the Luxury Homes and Interiors magazine, the Saturday Telegraph and in a few weeks the Financial Times (21st April) has a special magazine called How to spend it (I think I've already spent it !) where more ads are appearing. Thanks to Chris and Yvonne at Conran Design. The fantastic Arabella McNie for styling and Natalie Dinham assisting
Slow Start but now catching up.
After a slow start to 2012, February & March have been full on. I've shot a lot with Lombok.co.uk, Art Directed by Laura North. After a difficult year in 2011 Lombok have taken a new direction this year which works well for me as we are shooting a new range each month.
I've also been shooting for Conran Design. Two different projects Vi-Spring and Ideal Standard. Natalie and I spent 2 days in Norfolk shooting in an amazing privately owned house and barn (Vi-Spring). and just finished four days in Plough Studio, Clapham (Ideal Standard).

Conran Design
Best part of a 14 hour day shooting with Conran Design. stills in the morning, Just the 7 models in the shot, but we eventually nailed it. Afternoon and evening spent shooting a video piece for web. As always had my wing man Paul Fenn with me. Natalie switching from stills assistant to film assistant in the blink of an eye. Big thank you to the guys from Conran, Jamie, Keiron and Rubin for all thier help and support as the hours ticked by.
Conran are handling the edit & post production.

More filming !
Videographer. 'This is the way forwarded', to all those people who said that to me for the last 2-3 years I'm sorry I never listened ! Because it is the way forward.
I've quoted on a few more jobs either just Video or stills and Video, hopefully 1 should be confirmed in the next few days watch this space.

Filming
It's done ! my first video commission. Reef Design asked me to in addition to the stills photography, shoot a short (2-3mins) story introducing a new range of products.
The first morning I found it very differcult to switch between stills and video, but with a lot of support from Natalie my Photography assistant and Paul Fenn from Paul Fenn Films we had a very productive day, a big thank you to both of you, in particular Paul for never laughing at me or looking fazed as I asked for help setting up a complex combined tracking and panning shot.
I'm not involved in the edit but I'll post a link when it's completed.

Wales
I decided at short notice to head off to Wales last week hoping to add to my landscape folio. the original plan was to climb Cadair Idris but the weather turned out to be rubbish with rain forecast and a low cloud base. I decided after doing a recci the night before that the coast at Llwyngril had potential, I set my alarm early and started shoot by 5:30am
I'm delighted with the results and very pleased with the positive feed back I've had already.
and as for Cadair Idris I made it to the summit in driving rain and cloud, scary decent taking 3 attempts to find the route down, and never got my camera out once.
